New Acquisitions for MTVN Latin America

"We continue to build MTV and VH1 Latin America’s programming catalogue with high-quality, innovative content from leading distributors," commented Dean Broadhurst, the Senior Director of Programming for MTV and VH1 Latin America. "These acquisitions reinforce our commitment to acquiring and making available great shows that resonate with our fans in the region."

New shows coming to MTV Latin America include Paris Hilton's My New BFF from Lionsgate. The channel will also broadcast new episodes of the dating shows Next from Target Entertainment and Parental Control from ShineReveille. VH1 Latin America, meanwhile, opted for Viva Hollywood from RDF, where aspiring Latino actors compete for a telenovela role; the mature model competition She’s Got the Look from FremantleMedia Enterprises; and Sex Revolution, a four-hour documentary from Beyond Distribution. VH1 also stocked up on features for its Movies That Rock block with 50 Cent Get Rich or Die Tryin from Paramount, Be Cool and Beauty Shop from MGM and Love Actually from NBC Universal.

Meanwhile, executives from MTV Networks Latin America are showcasing MTV, VH1 and Nickelodeon original programming to buyers in Vegas. The offerings include MTV’s Buzzin, G’s to Gents and the MTV Europe Music Awards; VH1’s Luke’s Parental Advisory and Nickelodeon’s Ni-Hao, Kai-Lan, The Mighty B! and Back at the Barnyard. In addition, properties from MTV Networks International, CMT and BET wil be available, including The American Mall (MTVNI), My Big Redneck Wedding (CMT), Baldwin Hills (BET) and the BET Hip Hop Awards.
