  • American Red Cross

Jennifer M. Lubrani is the new Senior Associate, Web Outreach Hispanic Communities at the American Red Cross. Ana Correa is no longer in that position.

 

  • Jack Daniels

Whiskey giant Jack Daniels has launched a new outdoor and print campaign targeting U.S. Hispanic consumers that features the work of Somerville, Mass.-based Potter Ruiz Advertising, the Boston Business Journal reports. The ad agency is a partner with Arnold Worldwide on the Jack Daniels account. Potter Ruiz Senior Creative Director Fernando Ruiz said the campaign is focused toward younger Hispanic men. The outdoor campaign is running in major Hispanic markets such as Miami, Los Angeles, Dallas, New York and San Francisco. In addition, print ads are appearing in Maxim en Español, Fox Sports, Alma Magazine and other publications.

 

  • Rossetta Stone – Alma DDB

Rosetta Stone has selected DDB Latina to develop its advertising communication. The network will start working for the brand in the US through the agency Alma DDB.
The Rosetta Stone system, which includes more than 30 languages and has turned learning into a new experience based on a total immersion of the language, has been used by millions of people in over 150 countries.

 

  • Mexico Tourism Board

The Mexico Tourism Board is starting a national campaign aimed to Mexicans. The national campaign is called "Vive Mexico," and the goal is to enlist Mexicans in revitalizing the tourism industry and counteracting the negative publicity from the swine flu.
Advertising will be handled by the Mexico Tourism Board's international creative agency, Publicis Groupe's Olabuenaga Chemistri in Mexico City. In North America, media planning and buying for the account is handled by U.S. Hispanic agency Machado/Garcia-Serra in Miami. A spokeswoman for the Mexico Tourism Board said different international ad campaigns will be created later.

 

  • PA Department of Health

Pennsylvania Secretary of Health Everette James announced the launch of Estoydecidido.com, a resource tool to help Latino residents of Pennsylvania go tobacco free. Estoydecidido.com – which translates to "I am determined" – is the Spanish version of the state's popular DeterminedToQuit.com site.
The new site was developed to provide Latinos with an online community of support and tools to make it easier for them in their quit attempts.

 

  • National Penn Bank

A local bank is set to better serve the Berks County hispanic community. National Penn Bank has been sponsoring Spanish classes for its employees. During the classes the employees have been learning basic Spanish phrases relating to banking transactions. The bank has also been airing television commercials and publishing print ads to target the latino community. According to bank officials, in some of the bank branches in the county, at least 75% of the customers are Hispanic.

 

  • Intercoastal Medical Group- Nuevo Advertising

Sarasota (FL) marketing and advertising firm Nuevo Advertising Group has been retained by Intercoastal Medical Group, an association of medical professionals serving Sarasota and Manatee counties.
