Impremedia appointed Alberto Vourvoulias-Bush to the newly-created position of Corporate Executive Editor. Mr. Vourvoulias-Bush will report to impreMediaChairman & CEO John Paton. Mr. Vourvoulias-Bush will be responsible for leading the company in its consolidation and prioritization of its content creation across all of its media platforms – online, mobile, video and print. NBC Universal has hired former Univision Chief Marketing Officer Maryam Banikarim as senior VP-integrated sales marketing, effective immediately. She will report to Mike Pilot, president-sales and marketing, NBC Universal, as well as Lauren Zalaznick, president, NBC Universal Women & Lifestyle Entertainment Networks. She will be responsible for finding advertising opportunities "outside of the transactional environment," NBC said in a statement.

alPunto Advertising of Tustin, CA has hired Roy Zuloaga as Director of Client Services. Mr. Zuloaga experience includes time in New York working at Saatchi & Saatchi with a focus on QSR accounts such as McDonald's and Burger King. He also executed duties as Global Advertising Director for Mexico Tourism (SECTUR) where Roy promoted travel to Mexico to prospective tourists in the U.S., Western Europe,

Richard Monturo has been appointed Executive Director of Strategy and Technology. Monturo was formerly the head of strategic planning teams for Lowe, TBWA and Strawberry Frog (now Amsterdam Worldwide).

Scott Sternberg, senior director, business development at Yahoo!, has joined ESPN International as vice president, International Digital Media, it was announced by Arne Rees, Vice President, International Development.

Diego Colombo has been promoted to Broadcast Director at the Miami based office of Alma DDB. Diego will now be reporting directly to Michelle Headley, Vice-president of Operations, who supervises the entire Production department.

The Associated Press on Friday promoted Mike Oreskes and John Daniszewski to the positions of senior managing editor to succeed Mike Silverman, who is retiring after 37 years at the news cooperative.Silverman, the AP's second-ranking news executive since September 2000, will leave at the end of next month, shortly after he turns 65. The promotions of Oreskes and Daniszewski become effective April 1. Dividing Silverman's duties between Oreskes and Daniszewski will ensure a smooth transition and preserve AP as a vital news source amid a media upheaval, said Kathleen Carroll, the AP's executive editor.
