The Wall Street Journal Adding Online Content to Latin American Newspaper Websites

Print Agreement expands into online.

Content

The Wall Street Journal Americas—the branded pages of The Wall Street Journal that are published in 18 major Latin American newspapers with a total circulation of 1.714 million—recently expanded its partnership to include the websites of its partner newspapers.

The Wall Street Journal now is providing content to the websites of Mexico’s Reforma newspaper  and to Argentina’s daily La Nacion. Advertising revenue on these websites is then split between Dow Jones and the local newspaper.

The Wall Street Journal Americas was started by Dow Jones in 1994, and is currently published in 16 countries. In 2004, Dow Jones started a similar effort in the US Hispanic market.
