Univision Online's President Javier Saralegui  has resigned and Cesar Conde will assume the Role of Interim President of Univision Online.
According to Ray Rodriguez, president and chief operating officer of Univision Communication Inc. “Javier Saralegui has decided to resign from the Company to pursue other opportunities. We appreciate his contributions to Univision over the past 18 years and wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors.” Cesar Conde, currently Chief Strategy Officer of Univision Communications, will assume the role of Interim President of Univision Online. There currently is a search for permanent replacement.

Edward Schumacher-Matos has been named Robert F. Kennedy Visiting Professor for Latin American Studies at the Harvard University David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies.

Starmedia recently promoted Juan José Núñez to Chief Operations  Officer for  the U.S. and Latin America. Núñez is now responsible for both sales and operations in Starmedia’s global expansion. Núñez’s , prior position was Starmedia VP of Operations in the U.S. and Latin America. In addition, Starmedia announced that Victorio Lorandi is the new VP for Mexico, Central America and Caribe. Lorandi is responsible for sales, customer services and business development in that region.

Claudia Utajara is the New Marketing and Partnership Director at the Atlanta Silverbacks. Until recently Utajara worked as the Marketing Director at Atlanta’s Mundo Hispanico newspaper

Melisa Quinoy, who previously worked for MTV,  replaces founder Warren Harmel at Dieste Harmel and Partners as CEO.
