Efe Launches TV EFE

Agencia Efe and TV Espanola have announced the launch of TV EFE, a new video-based content offering.

Efe is framing the new offering as a new alternative to the existing options for Latin video news coverage, which is dominated by Anglo news outlets. The content will be made available to TV channels, web portals and other digital properties seeking Latin video news coverage.

TV EFE will seek to cover every aspect of Latin news, from arts and entertainment to science and politics through a continuously updated web platform. The content will be made available in two formats: fully-produced, broadcast ready pieces, and unedited raw material for the buyers to work with themselves. TV EFE will be offering two distinct services: TV EFE-America, with reporting done in neutral Spanish, and TV EFE-Brasil, presented in Portuguese.

TV EFE is the result of an agreement announced this past March, in which EFE and the RTVE of a strategic alliance to produce video content for Hispanic markets. In all, more than 150 correspondents worldwide will be responsible for producing the video content.
