Changing Places


Miguel Cerda has been named Sales Manager of Affiliated Products at the Press-Enterprise Company. Cerda's primary focus will be advertising sales for The Business Press, La Prensa (Circ. 50,000, Spanish, weekly, Belo Corp), and other alternative print, online and event products outside of The Press-Enterprise's core newspaper product.


Jim Munson has joined Los Angeles based IMPACTO USA newspaper as Regional Advertising Account Executive. Jim was previously with the Los Angeles Newspaper Group for six years as an Account Executive for the National Advertising Department. IMPACTO USA (Spanish-language, 250,000 circ., weekly) and the Los Angeles Newspaper Group are both MediaNews Group companies. Munson has an extensive newspaper advertising background with thirty-plus years of industry experience in the Southern California market.


Carlos Fuentes has been named Strategic Marketing Director for Uno, the Hispanic branding agency.


Jorge Plasencia announced his departure from Univision Radio to open República, a full-service branding, advertising and communications company. He becomes its Chairman and CEO.


Rodrigo Vallejo starts today at full service Advertising Agency Camelot Communications. His new position is Account Director Hispanic Media and he will report directly to Jim Lucero, Managing Director.Prior to his new position, Vallejo worked at Dieste, Harmel & Partners where he was serving as an Account Director on the Western Union account, and previous to that as an Associate Media Director on JC Penney, Pepsi, SBC Communications, Titan Insurance, among other accounts.

Alonso Ancira is taking on the role of non-employee director at QuePasa Corp. For his service as a non-employee director of the Company, Mr. Ancira is eligible to receive 1,250 shares of unrestricted common stock of the Company to be granted on the last day of each fiscal quarter of the Company.
