Starting November 13th, El Nuevo Dia Orlando will begin distributing for free. In addition, it will be boosting its distribution by 20% Mondays through Thursdays, and by 60% on Fridays. The boost in circulation will bring the newspaper's total reach to 135,000 copies per week. The news highlights the trend
General Manager Jaime Segura said that they plan to implement further increases in distribution with a controlled circulation model that will inform future expansion of the paper throughout central Florida.
Miami-based C-Com Group, El Nuevo Dia Orlando's agency of record, has commenced with a print, radio and "grassroots campaign" to alert current readers and the Hispanic community at large that the paper is going free.
