The National Institute of the Latin American Journalist (INPL), whose mission is to aid the professional development of Latinos in the press, has launched a new website https://www.instituto-npl.com.
Roberto Fernandez, honorary president of the INPL, stated that the launch is intended to provide resources and foster a support network for Latino journalists dedicated to the dissemination of news. The stated goals of the INPL are:
Ø To promote fair coverage of Hispanics in the media
Ø To promote the employment and professional development of Hispanics in the media
Ø To foster the understanding of the cultural identity, interests, and concerns of Hispanic journalists
Ø To organize delegations in major cities to address and promote these interests in the media
The new website has sections devoted to national and international news, a calendar of events, poetry, film, photography, and more.
