Changes afoot at Viva NY and Hora Hispana

Expanded editions and increased circulation.

The New York Daily News is making some changes with its Hispanic market publications, the bilingual Viva NY and Spanish-language Hora Hispana.

Whereas Viva NY used to be published on Sunday and was included in only those copies that went out to highly Hispanic neighborhoods, starting October 25th, Viva will instead be published on Wednesdays and will be included in the full run of the paper; this change drastically increases Viva's circulation from 450,000 to 800,000 copies weekly. CPMs will remain the same, and a combined Viva NY and Hora Hispana buy is available.

Viva NY has also announced that its first Wednesday issue, which comes out on October 25th, will be the official guide to the 2006 Grammy Awards ceremony. “That issue will then be translated to our 250,000 copies of Hora Hispana,” says Rudy Zaccagno, advertising director for both magazines.
