Content: Zuma Press to Provide Feed to Spanish-language Newspapers through Efe

ZUMA Press, an independent press agency and wire service, and EFE, a major Spanish language news agency, today announced an agreement granting EFE rights to license a ZUMA feed of content to Spanish language newspapers and magazines in North and South America. The announcement is part of ZUMA's ongoing effort to expand its reach and penetration in all markets especially in the Spanish language markets.

"The decision for EFE and ZUMA to partner is natural. EFE as the leading provider of content to the Spanish language world, and ZUMA the leading provider of quality celebrity, news, sports and historical images," said Diana Backlund, director of sales for EFE.

"This alliance allows us to provide our clients with a new, wonderful variety and depth of images not previously covered through EFE's own global news focused content, and also benefits ZUMA by allowing them to penetrate the very dynamic and important Latin American media market through EFE's extensive sales force. We're very excited to be working with ZUMA Press," she added.

Sales of zReportage essays and news exclusives to Spanish language media will remain in the hands of John Camarillo, ZUMA's Latin market sales manager. He will also continue to negotiate large-scale network deals that increase ZUMA's market share among providers to U.S. Hispanic and Latin American media.
