  • Rudy Casaly was named managing director of Rumbo de Houston. He most recently was national advertising manager for The Houston Chronicle. Casaly was previously with AeroMexico Airlines as their regional manager based in Houston.
  • David Ng has been appointed executive editor of the New York Daily News. The New York daily publishes Viva New York and Hora Hispana. The paper also announced that Bob Sapio has been promoted to senior executive editor.
  • Rosa Alonso is joining Edelman as Senior Vice President. She will oversee Edelman Multicultural, which focuses primarily on Hispanic and African-American marketing. Alonso has also held senior marketing positions at AT&T Wireless, TimeWarner and Univision. Edelman Multicultural also has expanded into two markets -– Washington, D.C. and Atlanta. Fabiola Rodriguez-Ciampoli recently joined the DC office as Vice President of Hispanic outreach. She has previously served as Director of Hispanic Media for the Senate Democratic Communications Center under Minority Leader Harry Reid and as the National Director of Hispanic Media for the Kerry-Edwards Campaign. The Atlanta office recently added Cynthia Negron and Rosie Stober to focus on multicultural outreach.
