The Week in Review

Holyoke Community College in Western Massachusetts has enlisted the services of full-service Hispanic marketing and communications agency Bauza & Associates to head-up its first outreach campaign to the area's growing Hispanic community.

The South Florida non-profit organization Amigos for Kids has launched a print, television, and radio campaign in conjunction with the Advertising Federation of Greater Miami to bring attention to child abuse prevention.

This week the 21st annual National Association of Hispanic Publications (NAHP) Convention was held in Las Vegas, NV. The convention included keynote speeches by industry leaders including Gary Meo, Gilbert Davila, Frank Gómez, and Javier Ismodes, among others.

Wal-Mart and the NAHP have partnered to enroll 150 new member publications from across the U.S. in what they are calling a "membership expansion and professional development initiative.”
