Casa y Hogar Launches

Casa y Hogar, a Spanish-language magazine dedicated to home ownership, home decoration, home remodelling and home design launched as an insert in different Spanish-language newspapers nationwide. Carrier papers include El Diario/La Prensa (New York), La Opinión (Los Angeles), Diario La Estrella (Dallas/Ft. Worth), Rumbo (4 Texas editions), Conexión (San Antonio), El Sentinel (Ft. Lauderdale), El Nuevo Herald (Miami), La Raza (Chicago). Last week Casa y Hogar, a bi-monthly magazine, was published as an insert in these papers Thursday, Saturday or Sunday editions. Advertisers in Casa y Hogar's first issue include Armstrong Floors, Allstate Insurance and General Motors.

The publication has a total circulation of 801,000. In some markets Casa y Hogar is not published as an insert but sold as a stand-alone product in newsstands.

For 2006, Casa y Hogar expects to expand to three additional markets, which will most likely be Atlanta, Philadelphia and Washington.

Casa y Hogar is backed by Publications Services of America (PSA), a magazine publisher for the newspaper industry. PSA publishes mostly shelter titles. Its publications have a circulation of close to 3 million. PSA partners with newspapers throughout the United States to deliver a sophisticated turnkey, special section products that capturenon-traditional revenue from newspapers local markets.
