The Texas Hispanic Newspaper Network was recently joined by El Diario de El Paso (Gannett, English-language, circ. 90,000 daily), Dallas-Fort Worth Diario La Estrella (Knight Ridder, Spanish, circ. 28,469, daily), Dallas-Fort Worth Al Dia (Belo Corp. Spanish, circ. 40,000, daily) and La Frontera of McAllen/Harlingen (Freedom Communications, Spanish, circ. 21,667, daily).
The ad-sales network, which aims to increase national and regional advertising through a one stop-buy, was founded last April byAustin's Ahora Sí! (weekly, Cox Newspapers, circ. 20,000, Spanish), Houston's La Vibra (weekly entertainment paper, Impremedia, published by The Houston Chronicle, circ. 100,000, Spanish), Houston's La Voz (weekly, Hearst Newspapers, published by The Houston Chronicle circ. 100,000, Spanish) and San Antonio's Conexión (weekly, Hearst, circ. 50,000, bilingual).
The newspapers that integrate the network have a combined circulation of over 450,000 and are represented by Miami based Publicitas Promotion Network.
