Publicitas LHM, the print media advertising sales company, announced the appointment of Louise Kalechstein as their National Account Executive for the North East region, based in New York City. Ms. Kalechstein is a seasoned media sales executive with over 15 years of experience in radio, broadcast and cable TV in the New York market. Her experience includes working for leading companies such as Katz Radio, NCC, and SBS.

Jim Heekin, Chairman-CEO of Havas' Euro RSCG up until August 1, was named as the incoming Chairman-CEO of the WPP Group-owned network. As of September 6, Jim will become the first person to be responsible for the entire agency international advertising network. Previously the company was run with regional heads reporting into Ed Meyer. The Grey Global corporation includes Grey Worldwide, Grey Healthcare Group, MediaCom and Grey Synchronized Partners (includes G2, Grey Direct and Grey Interactive). Joe Celia will continue to head up Grey Synchronized Partners and report to Ed Meyer.

Carlos Verdecia, has been named editor in chief of Tiempos del Mundo, the Spanish-language weekly newspaper based in Washington, D.C. Verdecia was editor of Hispanic magazine, the English-language monthly published by Hispanic Publishing Associates (51% owned by Editorial Televisa).
