San Antonio based Cartel Creativo, Inc., appointed Susana Sosa-Martinez, a veteran of multicultural marketing and senior executive at the San Antonio-based communications agency, as Account Director for the U.S. Army. Sosa-Martinez has been an indispensable team member at Cartel Creativo since 2002, beginning her tenure as the U.S. Army's Account Supervisor. She has earned her stripes during a career that spans over 15 years, working for clients such as Proctor & Gamble, Sprint, and Western Union; developing successful advertising and marketing programs directed at the U.S. Hispanic market.

Steve Lambert, editor of The Sun and its sister paper, The Inland Valley Daily Bulletin in Ontario, was named vice president of news for the Los Angeles Newspaper Group. Lambert, 48, will remain editor of The Sun and the Bulletin, but will also "work closely with me and the LANG executive team in continuing to improve the news gathering and reporting' of the group's eight daily newspapers, Grilly said. Anheuser-Busch promoted Henry Dominguez to VP/Hispanic Marketing. He is currently VP/sales development and community affairs. Juan Torres was also upped to Director/Latino Marketing. He was previously the Hispanic brand manager for Budweiser.

Carlos Mendez was named EVP, Chief Creative Officer at Castells & Asociados. He has worked on creative campaigns for Cingular, Kia Motors, Drug-Free America and Ragu, the latter adapted for general market.

Mónica Gil has joined Nielsen Media Research as Vice President of Communications and Community Affairs. The former Telemundo executive and political advisor to Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa will direct Nielsen Media Research's communications and community outreach initiatives in California.

The Bravo Group announced the formation of a new West Coast Division, BravoWest, created by the merger of its San Francisco and Irvine, CA offices.

The new management team for BravoWest will be led by Zulema Arroyo and Christine Hahn, both highly-respected Bravo executives. Ms. Arroyo, based in Irvine, has been appointed Group Managing Director and will be responsible for operations and growth of both the Irvine and San Francisco Bravo offices while continuing her day-to-day oversight of operations in Irvine. Christine Hahn has been appointed BravoWest Managing Director and will partner with Ms. Arroyo to aggressively build the consolidated resource as well as continue to directly manage the San Francisco operation on a day-to-day basis. The merger will not result in any downsizing or layoffs. In fact, both offices of the new enterprise are in a growth mode.
