"Advertisers and agencies have begun to realize that in addition to the vibrant core newspaper, the industry also presents multiple opportunities to reach diverse audiences," said NAA Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer John E. Kimball.

"Newspapers today are reaching a broad base of users that is growing to include ethnic consumers as well as those considered to be more traditional. This is being done with an expanding footprint of the newspaper brand offerings including online, consumer targeted products in English, Spanish and a number of other languages, and specialty publications that have a specific editorial focus. Much of the creative work done specifically for these audiences demonstrates a new level of sophistication and is deserving of recognition."
