Ampersand Specialty Publications, an affiliate of the Santa Barbara News Press, announced that it bought the Valley Voice, a weekly paper in Goleta, CA, the surfing magazine Blue Edge as well as the Spanish-language monthly El Mexicano. The three publications were bought from Goleta Valley Voice publisher Jim Farr. El Mexicano has a circulation of 10,000 and publishes monthly. It offers local and national news and stories about health, education, sports, business, and entertainment.
