CQ Press discontinues CQ Researcher en español

CQ Press discontinued publication of CQ Researcher en español last December.

Launched in the spring of 2003, the weekly publication targeted librarians with content on a wide range of social, economic, political, and environmental issues. Allan Grimes at CQ Press tells Portada® that the product was not popular enough among Librarians. “Hispanics seem to need more practical information,” he said. Grimes added that CQ Press will continue to promote a couple of Spanish-language books associated with CQ Researcher en español.

CQ Press is a private company belonging to the family of companies owned by the St. Petersburg, Florida based Poynter Institute, a school of journalism named after CQ (Congressional Quarterly Founder) Nelson Poynter.
