La Raza Partners with Fox Valley Publications

La Raza (Impremedia, weekly, circ. 200,000, Spanish) entered a partnership with Fox Valley Publications, owned by Hollinger (publisher of the Chicago Sun-Times), to distribute the publication in several Chicago suburbs. The partnership will include advertising cross-sales and the co-sponsorship of events.

Fox Valley Publications publishes five daily newspapers: The Beacon News in Aurora, The Courier News in Elgin, The Herald News in Joliet, The News Sun in Waukegan and The Naperville Sun. Partnering with La Raza will enable Fox Valley Communications to reach the large Hispanic community in suburban Chicago. In some areas, like Aurora, Hispanics make up nearly 40% of the population.

Under the agreement, La Raza readers will have access to Fox Valley's suburban and community news coverage and Fox Valley advertisers will gain access to La Raza's Hispanic readership. Fox Valley Publications will also expand its printing relationship with La Raza.
