Meredith remains secretive as to the details of their plans to release a new Hispanic brand in 2005. Spokesperson Patrick Taylor said that the project is still in development and that Meredith is not yet ready to release specifics. The publishing giant who already publishes three Hispanic parenting mags (see page 12 of this issue) has applied for trademarks on potential Hispanic magazine titles including “Toda Mujer, “A Toda Mujer,” “Hogar Latino,” “Hogar Mejor,” “Mejor Casa” and “Maria Helena.” Interestingly, the Toda Mujer title already exists in the Hispanic market (See article, page 16, Portada ®No. 9, July/August 2004). Toda Mujer publisher Marcus Diggle had not heard from Meredith regarding the title and was not certain whether his company owned the trademark. “We are a small company and we took a huge risk to publish Toda Mujer,” explained Diggle. “We will defend our position.”
