Advertising in Mexican magazines drops

According to a study recently published by IBOPE AGB México, 2003 was not a good year for magazine advertising. The authors of the study note that advertising declined by 4.2% in 2003, after a 20% year on year decline in 2002. The study did not produce absolute figures. According to Merca2.0, the volume of the Mexican magazine advertising market in 2003 was US $344 million. Despite lower advertising, publishers continue to launch niche magazines.
