New paper for Spaniards in the Northeast

ElHecho, a free bi-weekly paper, was launched on October 15th. Published by El Pulpo Inc., the black-white paper has a circulation of 6,000. It is aimed at the approximately 40,000 Spaniards, mostly immigrants from Galicia in Northeastern Spain, living in the Tri-state area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut). According to Joaquín Fernández, a former journalist for Wall Street Journal Americas, who leads ElHecho's editorial team, the paper is distributed through Spanish institutions and associations in Manhattan, Queens and New Jersey>
