Libros y más libros
Book publishers and retailers are betting on Spanish books to increase sales in the now stagnant US $26 billion American book publishing market. According to the Association of American Publishers, there are currently 30,000 Spanish titles available in the US, compared to 5,000 in 1998. Large bookstore chains such as Borders and Barnes & Noble have patrons who shop exclusively for Spanish-language books. Borders has opened heavily stocked Spanish bookstores in Puerto Rico, Miami and California. Last month, Barnes & Noble, the nation's largest bookseller, announced plans to expand Spanish-language book sections in its stores.
