More Politics and Critical Journalism for Argentineans

Two magazines were launched in Buenos Aires at the end of March. Debate, a weekly which holds the Argentinean publishing rights to US opinion journal The Nation and other high-brow publications, was launched with an initial circulation of 25,000. Sixty percent of the first issues were sold. Debate features commentary and opinion articles about national and international affairs. TXT, a weekly focusing on critical and investigative journalism, was launched in Buenos Aires with an initial circulation of 40,000 copies. For the second issue it plans to publish 10,000 copies.

La Primera, a weekly publication owned by Avila Enterprise and Uno, two companies from Mendoza, will relaunch this month (May). Its current circulation is 5,000, 3,000 of which are sold.
