Batanga Opens Mexico Office

Oct. 12, 2009

Batanga recently opened a Mexican office. (Rafael Urbina, CEO of Batanga, told Portada in a recent interview  that the bigger part of the additional funding Batanga got 6 months ago will be invested in the company’s international expansion.

Natalia Martinez, VP of Marketing at Batanga, tells Portada that currently there is general manager and support staff working out of the office. “Once the office is fully staffed, we will have anywhere between ten and twenty people employed in the Mexico office”, she adds.  The Mexican office will be expanding the capabilities of the recently announced Batanga Network and will be focused  on publisher relations in addition to offering Batanga’s  portfolio of products in the Mexican territory. Martinez explains that “ Increasingly, U.S. Hispanics are visiting sites that are based abroad. Given that many of these sites are based in Mexico, building a publisher relations team in the territory working alongside these key publishing partners is of strategic importance for our ad network business. Going forward, this proximity will also allow us to work closer with the publishers to develop additional integrated programs for all of our advertisers.”
