Portada has obtained information that sheds some light on the future of My Space Spanish language versions in Latin America and the U.S. On the online advertising sales side, MySpace Latin America will now be repped by .Fox, the network of Spanish and Portuguese speaking sites which is the online division of Fox International Channels (News Corp).

Tatiana López, PanRegional Sales and Strategic Partnerships Executive at My Space Latin America in Miami, tells Portada that MySpace Latin America will now be a part of Punto Fox and will be transitioning into the Punto Fox structure during the next two months.

“MySpace Latin America users will not notice the transition. MySpace’s offices in Brazil, Argentina and Mexico will now be integrated into Punto Fox offices in those countries. Some of the employees will stay but now will report to Punto Fox”, López, adds. Unfortunately, Victor Kong, VP and managing director, Latin America and US Hispanics, will not stay in the company.
