Fronteras Crosses New Borders

Fronteras, the nationally syndicated Spanish-language newspaper, is continuing to expand its footprint in the U.S. Hispanic market. According to publisher Kerry Slagle, the paper signed up 17 new clients in 2007, bringing its total coverage to 35 markets in the U.S., with a circulation of 310,000.

Fronteras recently closed a deal with the Hola News newspaper in Charlotte, which is running 100% Fronteras content. It will soon be available in St. Louis, MO.

The company is reportedly looking to establish a national advertising network, as well.“One of our advantages is that our product works in any size market,” says Slagle. Some of Fronteras’ clients include
members of Cox, Media News, independent Hearst paper owners.
