nieto molinaUnivision Communications Inc. announced the appointment of Alejandro Nieto Molina as senior vice president and general manager, Radio. Nieto Molina will be responsible for leading the strategy and implementation of content efforts across Univision Radio, providing the creative vision as well as operating leadership. He will be based in Miami and report to John W. Eck, chief Local Media officer and executive vice president of Technology, Operations and Engineering. Nieto Molina will oversee the 67 radio stations in UCI’s Local Media portfolio, working with all Univision Radio content leads to build on the groups successful trajectory. Nieto Molina is a journalism and industrial engineering graduate from Bogotá’s Universidad de Los Andes.

0f8e6e9As a Regional Executive Vice President of Integrated Marketing Solutions, Lilly Gonzalez will serve as the team leader for all of Entravision’s East Coast cross-platform assets, including Washington D.C., Hagerstown, MD, Boston, MA, Hartford-Springfield, CT, Orlando, FL and Tampa, FL. She will be responsible for developing and executing hyper-local marketing packages for corporate and national initiatives, as well as providing analyses of regional audiences, advertisers and public affairs. Gonzalez will report directly to Mario M. Carrera, Entravision’s Chief Revenue Officer.Gonzalez most recently served as Entravision’s Senior Vice President, Integrated Marketing Solutions, Orlando.

descargaSucceeding Gonzalez, Humberto Hormaza will be responsible for driving client-based marketing campaigns and supporting Gonzalez in the Orlando market. He is a seasoned media executive, with more than 13 years of experience in the Hispanic entertainment industry. Hormaza previously served as a Vice President of Integrated Marketing Solutions for Entravision’s WVEN-TV, WOTF-TV and WNUE-FM stations.

 

DAumOKVI_400x400Telemundo 47 New York / WNJU has announced the addition of two more journalists to its growing news roster: Cristian Benavides and Luis Gerardo Núñez have been named Reporters for Noticiero Telemundo 47 at 5:30 PM, 6 PM and 11 PM. Both will work alongside News Anchors Jorge Ramos and Yaima Crespo, Sports Anchor Veronica Contreras and Meteorologist Pedro Montoro. Benavides and Núñez will make their on-air debut in early February.

benavdezBenavides, who has been a part of the Telemundo family since 2014, joins Telemundo 47 from sister station Telemundo Phoenix / KTAZ, where he worked as a reporter for the station’s local weekday newscasts. Benavides, who is a former BBC Mundo and White House intern, earned his bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Miami.

 

nuñezWith vast experience working in the third and fifth-largest Hispanic markets in the country, Núñez joins Telemundo 47 after working as a reporter for Telemundo 39 Dallas-Fort Worth / KXTX and Telemundo 51 Miami / WSCV since 2013. Before joining Telemundo, Núñez earned his bachelor’s degree in Communications from Universidad Monteávila in Venezuela. He also earned his master’s degree in Communications from Florida International University.

 

 

Corinna KellerCNN International has hired Viacom’s Corinna Keller as its new vice president of advertising sales for the Americas, M&M global reports. In her new role, Keller will oversee the pan-regional ad business for CNN International, CNN en Español, CNN.com/international and CNNEspañol.com for Latin America, as well as US-based clients looking to target an international audience.Keller will de based in Miami and report to Petra Malenicka, senior vice President of advertising sales for Europe and the Americas at CNN International Commercial.Keller spent 16 years at Viacom.

descarga (1)Twitter has hired American Express veteran Leslie Berland as its new global chief marketing officer,according to M&M global . Berland, former executive vice president for global advertising, marketing and digital partnerships at American Express, will join the company with the aim of restoring consumer perceptions.

In addition, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has announced that head of engineering Alex Roetter, head of HR Brian Schipper, head of media Katie Jacobs Stanton and head of product Kevin Weil are all leaving Twitter. Jason Toff, head of video service Vine, is also leaving Twitter to join Google.

Prior to Freeway, Rick was AVP of Titan Auto (Nationwide) in nine states. Rick was also President of Eastwood Insurance in California before selling to Titan Auto.
