SolomonRomanoPic (1)Solomon Romano recently left Anthem, where he worked as Multicultural Marketing and Strategy Director. Romano was displaced as a result of a large marketing reorganization at Anthem. Late last year, WellPoint, Inc., one of the nation’s largest health insurance companies, officially became Anthem, Inc. as the company aggressively marketed its menu of Anthem and Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans for new 2015 membership on exchanges under the Affordable Care Act.

descargaTribune Publishing has named former New York Times executive Denise Warren as president of digital, a newly created role overseeing digital strategy and operations across the Chicago-based newspaper group. Warren, 51, who will be based in New York, also will oversee the company’s six East Coast newspapers. She will join the company in June, reporting to Tribune Publishing CEO Jack Griffin. A longtime publishing executive, Warren most recently was vice president of digital operations for The New York Times, where she is credited with overseeing its industry-leading digital subscription model.

SapientNitro’s The Community, a Hispanic agency, has hired three former Ogilvy & Mather creative executives:

Tomas Duhalde and Guilherme Nóbrega both join the agency as Senior Art Directors. Frederico Nicolas Díaz joins as a Senior Copywriter. They will report directly to Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer Joaquín Mollá and work on a variety of the Miami-based agency’s largest clients, including Corona and Modelo.

Duhalde formerly worked at Ogilvy & Mather, Buenos Aires where he handled creative for brands including P&G, Schnieder, Huggies, and Playboy.

Diaz also worked at Ogilvy & Mather Buenos Aires having worked for brands like Reebok, Schneider, Huggies, AMIA, Fibertel and Cablevision.

Nóbrega previously worked on accounts including Coca-Cola, Unilever, Apple, Burger King, and Dove at Ogilvy’s London office.

imagesJustin Connolly has been promoted to executive VP, Disney & ESPN affiliate sales and marketing. He will oversee all aspects of domestic distribution and affiliate marketing including affiliate-related business operations of Disney and ESPN media networks, including ABC Family, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, Fusion, all the EPSN networks, Longhorn Network, SEC ESPN Network, as well as Watch, HDTV, video-on-demand, interactive TV and retrans consent agreements for Disney’s eight-owned ABC stations. He was previously senior VP of college networks. Prior to that, he spent 10 years in affiliate sales and marketing for Disney and ESPN. Connolly fills the same title held by the departing David Preschlack.

descarga (3)Ed Erhardt, president, global sales & marketing at ESPN, will broaden his role to include oversight of consumer marketing, research and ad sales business operations. He will be responsible for  some of the duties previously held by the departing Sean Bratches.

 

 

descarga (4)Michael Cavanagh has been named senior executive VP and chief financial officer at Comcast Corp. He will join Comcast early this summer from The Carlyle Group, where he has served as co-president and co-chief operating officer in New York. He will be based in Philadelphia.

 

descarga (5)Lowe and Partners CEO Michael Wall is leaving the company to become  equity partner and global CEO of agency Mother. Mother has offices in London, New York and Buenos Aires.

 

 

chris_raleigh_9442Chris Raleigh has been named chief commercial officer of Placemedia, a Viamedia’s supply-side programmatic platform for linear TV. Placemedia aggregates unsold and undersold inventory from cable networks, broadcasters, cable providers and other TV providers.Most recently, Raleigh was SVP/cable and cross-platform sales at The Weather Company.Previous to The Weather Channel, Raleigh was a senior sales executive of cross-platform ad sales for cable network GSN, as well as NBC Network News.
