Arthur Rockwell has been appointed as the new Executive Vice President U.S. at outdoor media company Latcom. Rockwell is based in Miami. Previously Rockwell worked at Latinum Network, Precise Engagement and Geoscape International.
Prentiss Fraser joins OX International Channels in the new role of Senior Vice President of Global Entertainment Sales. Fraser joins FIC from Entertainment One Television International. The executive will report to Executive Vice President of Global Sports and Content Sales, Simon Thomas, and will be based in London, where she will direct sales of FIC entertainment content FIC in all windows; Fraser will handle TV rights, non-linear and home-entertainment for scripted and unscripted series portfolio, miniseries and local productions.
The Futures Company has appointed Valeria Piaggio as Vice President of Multicultural Insights for the U.S. Yankelovich MONITOR. In this role, she will serve as the conceptual leader and chief consultant for their recently launched Total Market subscription offer . In addition, she will also serve as the Global Knowledge Lead for multicultural marketplace trends in support of The Future Company’s strategic insight, planning and innovation consultancy. Piaggio joins The Futures Company from CEB Iconoculture. She is based in The Futures Company’s Chicago office.

udrey Savage is joining Telemundo San Antonio as Vice President of Sales, to be effective August 18. Savage will be responsible for developing and implementing all local, national and digital sales strategies for Telemundo San Antonio. Prior to this, Savage served as the Local Sales Manager for Telemundo 39 Dallas-Fort Worth. A native of McAllen, Texas, Savage received herbachelor’s degree in Advertising from the University of Texas.
Steven Amato Founder, CEO and Chief Content Officer of Contend, has announced the formal launch of the company. Based in Downtown Los Angeles, Contend is a collective of data driven content creators with a mission to produce format content for multiple distribution channels and networks.
Amato recently left his position as President and Chief Content Officer at the award winning agency, Omelet, which he co-founded in 2004. During his tenure, he worked with such clients as Sony, HBO, Microsoft, NBC, Samsung, Wal-Mart and AT&T. He also spent ten years as a playwright and within the last few years, consulted with the White House and various government agencies on the utilization of technology in job development.
Philip Alberstat will be Contend Chief Operating Officer.Former EVP of Omelet Studios, Alberstat is best known for his role at the William Morris Agency within their independent film team. At Contend, he will focus on strategic partnerships and operations.
Dane Aloe joins Contend as VP, Partnerships & Innovation. Former Director of Corporate Development of Omelet, He began his career at Deloitte as a Consultant for the Technology, Media and Telecom group working with Blackberry, AT&T, Rogers, and Interac.
Chi-young Yoon will be Contend Managing Director . She comes from a background in multicultural marketing for such noted brands as Comcast, Energizer, Kellogg’s and Disney. With Spanish and Korean roots, Chi will spearhead the bicultural components of Contend’s projects and oversee account management and strategic research.
Evan Astrowsky has been named Head of Production at Contend. A graduate of the NYU School of Film and Television, Evan began his producing career with director Eli Roth. In July of 2005 Evan accepted the position of Vice President in charge of Production at Kevin Spacey’s Trigger Street Productions. In 2009 Evan returned to the advertising world as Executive Producer at production company/creative shop Meat & Potatoes .
Paul Soter has been appointed EVP, Director of Content at Contend . He was a member of the Broken Lizard comedy group. He has directed multiple features and branded content series, and has developed television projects with NBC, Fox, TBS, Lionsgate, MTV, Comedy Central, and ABC Family.
Fox has named David Madden the new president of entertainment for the broadcasting group and promoted Joe Earley to chief operating officer of the combined broadcast and studio business. They will Both report to Mr. Newman and Ms. Walden.
Madden, former president of the Fox TV Studios, will oversee scripted and alternative programming and development for Fox network, as well as casting. Fox will name a new president of Fox TV Studios shortly.
Earley will work with the studio’s development, production, business affairs, marketing and finance matters, as well as continue to oversee marketing, communications, digital, multi-platform programming, research, talent relations, scheduling and audience strategy at the network. Previously, he served as chief operating officer for Fox Broadcasting Company .
Instagram has appointed Facebook regional director James Quarles as global head of business and brand development.He will relocate from London to Instagram’s San Francsico headquarters and will start the role in the autumn.Quarles will direct Instagram’s revenue efforts and will oversee the company’s sales and marketing teams.
